"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.

It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.

But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

You’ve seen me laugh

You’ve seen me cry

And always you were there with me
...
I may not have always said it

But thanks and I love you

When I was weak, you gave me Strength,

when I was disappointed, you called for Hope,

when I was astray, you Guided me,

when I was mistaken, you Warned me,

when I was intolerant, you Softened me,

when I was wrong, you Directed me,

when I was guilty, you Reprimanded me,

when I was in anger, you Calmed me..

And always you were there with me
...
I may not have always said it

But thanks and I love you
