A BEAUTIFUL STORY ABOUT QURAN.....

Why do we read Quran, even if we can't understand Arabic words (mostly Asians Europeans and Americans) ???? This is a beautiful story.

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quran. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked, 'Grandpa! I try to read the Quran just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?'

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, 'Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.'

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, 'You'll have to move a little faster next time,' and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, 'I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough,' and he went out the door to watch the boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, 'See Grandpa, it's useless!'

'So you think it is useless?' The old man said, 'Look at the basket.' The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

'Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out.
That is the work of Allah in our lives.'

Very touching and learning story…keep it up…this question also got into my mind many times since I were little and also been asked by non-muslim “what the point reading something everyday and don’t understand anything! Or why go to the mosque for quran reading?” Well remember my parents always said that once you have read it in Arabic later you can read the translation. And honestly didn’t got “time” to sit and read it …getting a guilty conscience now because how will we explain our children why it’s important to read Quran! Today's generation thinks they are much smarter and want an explanation of everything and many times you just don’t have any and keep quit! When the knowledge is weak then you can’t be strong enough to defend your religion.

Benifits of aayatul qursi

1) recite aayatul qursi at the time of leaving house because 70000 angels protect person from left, right, front and back and if a person dies before returning he will get 70 martyrs reward.

2)recite aayatul qursi 40 times every day at the time of sunset, person will get reward of 40 hajj.

3)recite aayatul qursi every night at bed, this creates one angel who will guard the person till morning..

4) recite aayatulqursi every time after doing ablution (wuzu) this will raise person 40 times in rank from each word.

5)recite aayatul qursi every time after returning home because it keeps away poverty.

[7:206] Those at your Lord are never too proud to worship Him; they glorify Him and fall prostrate before Him.

[13:15] To GOD prostrates everyone in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and the evenings.

22:18] Do you not realize that to GOD prostrates everyone in the heavens and the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the animals, and many people? Many others among the people are committed to doom. Whomever GOD shames, none will honor him. Everything is in accordance with GOD's will.


22:77] O you who believe, you shall bow, prostrate, worship your Lord, and work righteousness, that you may succeed.

[25:60] When they are told, "Fall prostrate before the Most Gracious," they say, "What is the Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate before what you advocate?" Thus, it only augments their aversion.

[27:25] They should have been prostrating before GOD, the One who manifests all the mysteries in the heavens and the earth, and the One who knows everything you conceal and everything you declare.

32:15] The only people who truly believe in our revelations are those who fall prostrate upon hearing them. They glorify and praise their Lord, without any arrogance.
