What Is Islam..
What Does "Islam" Mean?
The word "Islam" itself means "Submission to Allah." The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of "Christianity" which was named after Jesus Christ, "Buddhism" after Gutama Buddha , "Marxism" after Karl Marx, and "Confucianism" after Confucius.

Similarly, Islam is not named after a tribe like "Judaism" after the tribe of Judah and "Hinduism" after the Hindus. The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the will of the only true god worthy of worship, "Allah" (known as God "the Father" in Christianity).

Anyone who does indeed submit to the will of Allah as required by Islam is termed a "Muslim," which means one who has submitted to the will of Allah. Many people in the West have developed the sad misinformed trend of calling Islam "Muhammadenism" and it's followers "Muhammadins." This is a totally foreign word to Muslims and unrecognized by them. No Muslim has ever called his religion "Muhammadenism" or called himself a "Muhammadin."

What Is The Basic Concept of Islam?
Islam teaches us that this life is a life of worship. We are placed on this earth in order to worship Allah and obey His command. During this earthly life we are subjected to a series of trials. We have the option of enduring these trials and conforming to certain laws, and our reward will be great in the next life, or we may decline to endure these trials and choose to not conform to the law, then we will be made to regret it in the next life.

Each person will be solely and completely responsible for their own final reward. We are also told that God has designed these laws to make this life a better, safer, and more tolerable one for us. If we elect to conform to them then we will see the result in this life even before moving on to the next.

We are told that the earthly life is a life of faith and work, and the next life is one of reward and no work. We have been placed on this earth to worship God, fast, pray, be industrious, good, kind, respect.....

It was proven in the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah likes the act of sneezing and dislikes the act of yawning, so if any one of you sneezes and praises Allaah (says “al-hamdu Lillaah”), it is a duty on every Muslim who hears him to say to him, “Yarhamuk Allaah (may Allaah have mercy on you).” As for yawning, it is from the Shaytaan, so if any of you feels the urge to yawn, he should suppress it as much as he can, for when any one of you yawns, the Shaytaan laughs at him.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 10/505)

It was also reported from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If any one of you sneezes, let him say ‘Al-hamdu Lillaah,’ and let his brother or his companion say, ‘Yarhamuk Allaah.’ And if he says to him, ‘Yarhamuk Allaah,’ let him say, ‘Yahdeekum Allaahu wa yusliha baalakum (May Allaah guide you and correct your thinking).’” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 10/502)

Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that two men sneezed in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who said “Yarhamuk Allaah” to one of them, but not to the other. The one to whom he did not say it said: “So and so sneezed, and you said ‘Yarhamuk Allaah’ to him; I sneezed but you did not say it to me.” He said, “He praised Allaah (said ‘al-hamdu Lillaah’) and you did not.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 10/504)

Abu Moosa al-Ash’ari reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When one of you sneezes and praises Allaah, then say ‘Yarhamuk Allaah’ to him, but if he does not praise Allaah then do not say it.” (Reported by Muslim 2992)

Never underestimate Allah's help...

And ALLAH Taآ’ala knows best..........

A recent case happened in Britain.

A girl went to her friend’s house and she ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small COMMUNITY and she lived only a few blocks away...

As she walked along under the bike trail Amina asked ALLAH TAآ’ALA to keep her safe from harm and danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down at the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was waiting for her.

She became uneasy and began to recite a Dua, asking for ALLA TAآ’ALA's protection, instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her.

When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there.
Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep.

Thanking ALLAH TAآ’ALA for her safety and to help this young woman who was raped, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story.

The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him.. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before.

When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed.

The officer thanked Amina for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question.

Amina was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, 'Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her.....'

Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're not alone. People will not stand up for ALLAH (swt) ALLAH TAآ’ALAis always there in your heart and loves you no matter what.

'If you deny me in front of your friends, I shall deny you on the day of Judgement'

STAND UP FOR ALLAH TAآ’ALA

It is said that when the angel of death is taking the rooh (soul) out of
the body (when one passes
away)....it is a painful

experience.
They say that when the dead
awake on Qiyaamat, the effect of
the rooh being taken out will still
be there.. Therefore, ALLAH
(SWT) has told us to recite the
Ayatul Kursi after every Farz
salaah and it is stated that

whoever recites this, their rooh
will be taken out as you would take out a strand of hair from a
pile of flour.. How light would that
feel, Masha-Allah!

May Allah (swt) save us from any
sort of pain and may He let us
die with Imaan in our hearts and
save us from the azaab of the
Kabr (grave).

There is no word as beautiful as
Allah Ta?’ala.
No example as beautiful as Rasulallah (SAW)
No lesson as beautiful as Islam
No call for prayer as melodious as Azaan.
No charity as meaningful as Zakaat.
No scripture as perfect as Al Qur'an.
No prayer as perfect as Salaah.
No diet as perfect as Saum [Fasting].
No journey as perfect as Hajj.

Subhan Allah hil Azeem...

Purification is half of iman (faith)...

Hazrat Abu Malik al-Harith bin 'Asim al-Ash'ari, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, said:

"Purification is half of iman (faith). Saying 'Al-Hamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah) fills the scales. Saying 'Subhanallah wa al-Hamdulillahi' (Exhalted be Allah and Praise be to Allah) fills the space between the heavens and the earth. Salah (prayer) is a light. Sadaqah (charity) is a proof. Sabr (patience) is a shining glory. The Qur'an is an argument either for you or against you. Everybody goes out in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves."

Amazing Quran Website‏

Below mentioned is an amazing website for the Holy Quran. Just put the mouse on any line and you will find the translation of that line or you can click the translation in the top of the page in the left corner for the entire Surah. In the left side for this website you can choose Surah (from all 114 Surahs). Moreover, you can choose any Aayah, can search by the page number and also you can select the Qari whose recitation you want to listen …

I am using it and find it to be truly fantastic. Please circulate for everyones benefit. Jazak ALLAH Khair.
