@faraz_ameem (http://www.dgkhan.org/forum/member.php?u=16): is quite an interesting person and asked whether there are any saraiki singers in India - We seem to have forgotten to speak in our native language although Sindhis still do so in very large measures - I used to listen to your Attaullah Khan urf Issa Khaibri and also have a CD of his songs.

India got independence on 15-8-1947. I was at Karachi on that day. Then I was seven years old school-going boy. We left for India around 1st oct. by steamer which dropped us at a small port called Okha.

0n youtube I heard some talented saraiki artists like Sanam Marvi and Gul Bahar Bano - both areee superb - why these have remained unnoticed whereas Reshma and Abida
Parveen are well-known and their music CDs are available ? To the best of my knowledge, we have no saraiki singers despite having equal number of saraiki speaking persons who no longer converse in the native language. It is not correct that all the Derewals are staying only in Derawal Nagar - there are so many clusters settled by the people of DGK, DIK, Mianwali, Multan, Liahaya, Kohat etc. Surprising but true that there is no residential colony where majority might be of sindhis although socially they are better organized as you find a Sindhi Panchayat in every area.
